Kristin Fisher was hired by CNN on 20 July 2021. She is CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she will cover everything including NASA's recently-created Space Force to commercial space businesses and the advent space tourism. Kristin is her mother was one of NASA astronauts, and also a space enthusiast, grew up immersed within the space industry. She spent five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy in the Biden and Trump Administrations. Through her tenure, she reported on the presidential 2020 campaign, the impeachment trial, two efforts to stop the pandemic coronavirus, and two other administrations' efforts. She also was on numerous trips with President and Vice President and was a part of a classified trip to Afghanistan along with the then-President Donald Trump. Kristin was a local television reporter for Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned an Emmy Award for her work as the "one-man-band" reporter before being hired by CBS in 2015. Kristin founded Field Mouse Films with her experience behind the camera in 2014. Field Mouse Films specialized in making documentaries for corporate clients, including Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin is a graduate in journalism from Boston University. She is married to her husband at Washington, D.C., and has a three-year old daughter.
